In an effort to provide the safest overall experience, the City has temporarily closed Nickel Plate Beach until May 31st. As part of the Responsible Restart Ohio initiative, the State released guidelines on beaches within the last 24 hours which made it difficult for us to accommodate all the necessary parameters in time to meet our normal opening date of Memorial Day weekend. We apologize for the inconvenience but look forward to seeing everyone soon. The guidelines can be viewed on the State’s coronavirus website here.
Notice regarding this and all other COVID-19 related event updates were previously posted on the City’s Facebook Page as well as in a Sandusky Register article (https://bit.ly/3bYgK3u).
