New Engine 422 officially enters service on Friday October 2 at Station # 2.
Replacing a 1993 Quality/Spartan Engine, the new model is a 2020 E-One Typhoon custom cab and chassis. The new engine carries 780 gallons of water, has a 1500 gallon per minute pump, and can carry up to 6 personnel. Aside from fire suppression, the truck is also equipped to handle motor vehicle accidents requiring stabilization and extrication, and various rescue scenarios.
This is the second vehicle to be jointly purchased by the City of Huron and Huron Township, and we would like to thank the City Council as well as the Township Trustees for their support during this process. We would also like to thank Advantech Service and Parts, Fire & Emergency Equipment and
E-ONE Fire Trucks for building and equipping our new apparatus.
