Top 3 Things for Tuesday, March 31st’s Huron City Council Meeting
1) Council will vote on a Memorandum of Understanding for the USGS Project at ConAgra. Council previously entered into and extended a Memorandum of Understanding with the Port Authority for the USGS.
2) Council will vote on approving a contract to hire the law firm of Savidge Ebert & Gourash, CO., LPA to investigate issues relating to the City’s acquisition of the Showboat property. The contract says that the investigation will not cost the city more than $10,000. Council voted on the same motion back on March 10th, it failed 3-3.
3) This will be the first council meeting with Mike Spafford as Interim City Manager. Council will vote on appointing Spafford as Interim City Manager until September 20th while Council conducts a search for the next city manager.
