Connect over coffee with Huron City Manager Andy White and Huron Schools Superintendent Dennis Muratori. On Friday, October 11, from 9-10 at the Gathering Grounds Coffee House, the Huron Chamber of Commerce is once again sponsoring an informal public engagement opportunity for area residents. White and Muratori teamed up several years ago to offer citizens early morning forums, outside of formal board sessions.

In an effort to improve communication and better engage residents, Coffee Connections provides a platform for ongoing dialogue between the city manager, school officials, and the community. Participants are provided updates from both school and city officials and have the opportunity to engage in one-on-one discussions on important topics of interest. Both White and Muratori believe a collaborative culture with open-ended feedback better serves the entire community. White will provide those in attendance with an update on projects taking place throughout the city while Muratori will provide an update on district finances, including a renewal emergency operating levy planned for March, and academic programming available for students. Those interested in discussing topics relevant to the city or schools are encouraged to attend the forum.

The session is open to everyone.
