City Council is held a work session on September 22 at 5:30 PM and a regular meeting at 6:30 PM. Due to the current public health regulations, the public is invited to participate digitally via livestream on the City’s YouTube channel here. If you’re unable to watch the meeting live, the video will be on the City’s YouTube page to watch at your convenience.
During the meeting meeting, Council will be discussing the US 6 paving project. The discussion will include an update on the current construction schedule and the proposed final striping plan. Staff will be presenting Council with two options for striping: utilize the current 4-lane configuration or change to a 3-lane layout with bike lanes on either side. After tonight’s meeting, the City will be seeking additional community input, getting updated exhibits on the city’s website, and putting the plans up at various locations throughout the community.
At the Huron City Council Meeting, Council voted unanimously to hire Matthew Lasko as Huron City Manager. Lasko is currently the Chief Development Officer for the City of Sandusky. He previously worked for the City of Cleveland. He has a Bachelor of Arts from Baldwin-Wallace College, a Master of Science from Case Western Reserve University, and a Masters from Cleveland State University.
