The City of Huron is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the City Council Finance Committee. Members on this board must be residents of the city and will serve in a voluntary capacity. Background in Finance/Accounting desired. This committee has set quarterly meetings at 5:00pm, meets additionally as needed, and holds several weekly budget meetings in the fall. The committee has seven members comprised of (3) City Council members, three (3) citizen members, and the Treasurer of Huron City Schools. There are no set terms for members. This committee provides review and recommendation relative to the proposed municipal budget, debt financing, and financial policies.
