It is great sadness that the Huron Chamber of Commerce says rest in peace to our past Director, Sheila Ehrhardt. Sheila was the Chamber Director from 2003 thru 2016, and served as a friend and mentor to the new director until recently. During her time as the Director, Sheila was known for her warm smile, love of people, selfless serving of others, welcoming arms, and her always enjoyable “2 beer” stories.
Sheila worked hard for the chamber and the City of Huron including projects like the Art-irondack Chairs during Huron’s Bicentennial, planning of the Con Agra implosion reception, Wine & Roses, the building and donating of the Huron Pizza Tower, and many many other great events and initiatives.
Prior to her time with Huron Chamber, Sheila spent years as a journalist for the Huron Reporter & Sandusky Register, and is credited for content and publication of Huron Chamber “Wave” for many years. In addition to her many contributions to the chamber, she served as a board member for Cancer Services, secretary of Fish Huron, and recognized as a Volunteer Center Woman of Excellence.
Sheila will be terribly missed by our chamber and the entire Huron community, but we know that she has joined her husband John and will always be looking down on us with her infectious smile. Godspeed Sheila Ehrhardt!
We will share all arrangement details on this page when we receive them.
